Former boxing world champion and darling of SA sports Dingaan "Rose of Soweto" Thobela's memorial service took place in Parktown, Johannesburg on Tuesday.
Thobela's family, friends and the boxing fraternity gathered to celebrate his life.
The celebrated boxer from Chiawelo, Soweto, was found dead in his flat in Mayfair, Johannesburg, last week Monday evening.
